I already have the results of Matt’s Preliminary Exams and I am so surprised that he got perfect scores in all of his exams. Math, Language, Science, Filipino, Reading and Writing results are all perfect scores!!!! :-) Although I don’t doubt his capacity at learning, I still cannot believe it.

Our–mine and Pops– coaching has paid off and I’m so happy. Pops is so amazed. But all the honors goes to Matt who took the exam. Congrats, anak. Til next exam.

With the perfect scores, I told him he deserves a reward and asked him what he wants. I was ready to give him electronics stuffs suited for his age. But he quickly replied: “An RC plane, Mom.” So an RC plane it is.

Tough times

Haaaay. Tough days. I wish Pops is here. Taking care of two kids isn’t easy.

My day now starts with checking that the baby is happy (read: sleeping) . Then I give big bro his medicine. Help him eat and then bathe. While he’s happily splashing water in the bath, I prepare his snacks for school and hurriedly eat breakfast. I then get big bro out of the bath. Give him to Ate to help him in his school attire (if Ate is late, I help him myself). Clean bottles. Nurse the baby. Give the little one a bath. Get her to sleep. Fix clothes. Nurse the baby. Take a bath (if there’s time). Before long, it will be noontime and then big bro gets home so I now clean and help him get into house clothes. Give the big bro his lunch. Nurse the baby. Check if there are school assignments; if there is, coax, bribe, threaten the big bro to do his assignment. I’m already dizzy. Oh life! Can you understand why I’m already screaming (although it does not justify my doing so)?

I really look up to mothers who have to take care of more than two kids. They must be superwomen for having the energy, patience, dedication, etc… to be able to do all the responsibilities. I wonder how they do it.

Booties

Been raining here almost every afternoon. Sometimes, the heavy downpour floods the street; other times, it just wets the ground, just enough to satisfy the plants’ need.

Though Matt’s classes are in the morning, nevertheless, I bought him a pair of rain boots just in case. Here it is.

When I saw this rain boots in camouflage on a store rack, I knew I have to get it for Matt. BTW, it’s the last available pair for this design.

Getting -used-to Stage

Still adjusting to having a baby in the house. I have almost forgotten how it’s like. Now, I have to include diapers and formula (milk) in the grocery list. I also need to get used to waking up late at night to nurse/feed her, and at the rate I’m going, I think an eye cream is valuable.

As I am adjusting, Matt also is. Things are no longer the same here. For instance, when before he can make noises anytime he wants, he’s gotta understand that he will have to try to make less noise now. It’s not easy for everyone but in time, I’m sure we’ll all get used to the adjustments.

It’s a girl

And we have a girl! Woooot. *doing a happy penguin dance*

She’s Matt’s princess, the apple of his eyes. He loves her so much; he adores her.

When we called him to tell him of the good news, he actually shouted joyfully. And when we came home with the baby, he was so happy he kept on bouncing on our bed and touching the baby.

I really hope that with the baby Kuya Matt will learn some valuable lessons in life (i.e sharing, being patient, etc..)
