Once again, happy birthday to my son.
I haven’t made a post on his development in a while and so I take this opportunity to write one.
At 4:
My son can now read. Hurrah, hurrah! He’s doing it the phonics way but I’m really amazed that he can now read words.
He can brush his teeth on his own. It’s more difficult now to ask him that I do the brushing for him; I need to make many explanations if I need to do a follow-up brushing.
He’s learned to use the scissors well. Thanks to our Kumon workbook!
He’s also learned to color and solve mazes. (Now, I have to encourage him to use a pencil.) Again, thanks Kumon.
He’s no longer jealous of his Papa. In fact he always tells me he wants Mama and Papa to be together always.
He no longer says: Go away, Mama; I don’t like you Mama and “idiot boy”. Thanks God!
He now wears slippers on his own -and properly. Sometimes he forgets but I can see that he already understands that “his slippers is his responsibility,” which I always remind him of.
He can wear his briefs, pants or pajama on his own - if he has breeches, I’m sure he can tackle that too. Oh but I have to mention that sometimes, he ”demands” that I help him even if really knows how to do it
And can I say that he can eat on his own now? It’s still messy but oh well, his control using with spoon and fork has tremendously improved over the last 4 months.
Okay that’s it for now. If I missed something, and I hope I did not, I’ll sure make a post of it when I can.
