When I came home Thursday morning from my graveyard shift, I didn’t expect to see my son in the state that he was in.
In my mother’s arms, Matt was having the coughing fit of his life! I could already see the abnormal rising and falling of his breath as his chest heaved heavily. Obviously, he was trying to catch his breath. My normally very talkative son couldn’t even finish a word much less a sentence. He could only make a whining sound like that of a scared animal -and one that is also in pain.
With one look at him, I had forgotten my hunger as I mindlessly pulled his clothes and other things into a bag. We had to rush him to the hospital -I told my mother.

I am praying for your precious son, may God watch over him.
